Emily Schultz

COLLEGE PLANNING CONSULTANT

For nearly a decade, Emily has helped students and their families navigate the sometimes overwhelming journey to college and beyond. Originally from Dover, Delaware, she found her home in North Carolina as an undergraduate at East Carolina University, where she discovered her passion for higher education. Through involvement in campus leadership and new student orientation, she saw firsthand how guidance and support can shape someone’s path. Those experiences inspired her commitment to helping incoming college students succeed.

Emily began her career in university admissions at ECU, recruiting throughout central North Carolina, reviewing applications, and working closely with families through competitive admissions processes. She later served as Director of Student Services at ECU's School of Dental Medicine and Director of Admissions at the Brody School of Medicine, gaining a broader perspective on the academic journey from high school through professional school. This experience allows her to help students not only build strong applications but also create a foundation for long-term academic and career success.

She earned her Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Appalachian State University. Her work reflects a deep commitment to expanding access and opportunity in higher education.

When she’s not working with students and families, Emily is planning her next international adventure, exploring new coffee shops, or getting lost in a good book. She loves spending time with her corgi, Daisy, and is known for trying to weave a Taylor Swift reference into nearly any conversation.
