Lisa is an experienced college counselor with a deep commitment to supporting students and families as they navigate the college admissions process. With a background in both teaching history and educational leadership, she has spent over twenty years working in independent schools as a director of studies, dean, department chair, teacher, and coach. Since 2016, she has provided personalized, expert, and compassionate college guidance. She loves working with students and their families, focusing on each student's strengths, and helping them to thrive in their educational journeys.
The mother of three children between the ages of 17 and 22, Lisa understands the challenges and excitement of the college search and provides compassionate support throughout the process. She enjoys guiding students as they reflect on their values, strengths, and aspirations, helping them make intentional choices about their future.
Lisa earned her BA in History from the University of Virginia and an MA in Educational Leadership from Columbia University. The daughter of a college professor, Lisa has a particular fondness for college towns and has lived in several, including Ann Arbor, MI; Charlottesville, VA; and Chapel Hill, NC. Lisa loves traveling with her husband, Peter, an Episcopal priest; hiking in the woods with family, and spending time reading on the couch with her two rambunctious dogs nearby.
