Wendy graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Biological Systems Engineering. She can still recall visiting the campus for the first time as a teenager and having that “a-ha” moment, knowing she had found the college where she belonged. At Advantage College Planning, she loves welcoming new families to the college admissions process and truly hopes every student finds a place where they can find that same joy!

Although originally from Richmond, VA, Wendy moved to the area after graduation and has never left! Wendy worked in the biotech industry for 8 years, and 6 of those years were spent at Biogen in the Quality Assurance Department. She took a hiatus from the professional world in 2007 and has enjoyed volunteering at her kids’ schools and through their soccer teams ever since. Her daughter is a Green Level High School graduate, a former client at Advantage College Planning, and now attends the University of Tennessee! Her son attends Mills Park Middle School where he has been a member of the soccer team and football team.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys staying active, reading, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks. She also loves spending time with her husband and their energetic Boston Terrier named Astro.
